Aly’s Great Notion is a 16.1h 2017 model OTTB Mare by Great Notion out of a Black Tie Affair mare. This mare is sporty and talented with a beautiful jump bascule and 3 flowing gaits. She would make a great jumper or excel in dressage. This mare is lovingly called “Kate” by her foster family after the beloved Catherine Middleton due to her beautiful and classic thoroughbred look. She will indeed turn heads anywhere she goes.
Kate is looking for a home that will give her the time and facilities she needs to succeed in the sport world. She comes with a bit of separation anxiety and would so best in a home where she is stall boarded or has private turnout. She has all the talent and needs someone patient enough to manage her brain. She is best suited for a confident rider.
Kate is an easier keeper and is currently barefoot, loads and hauls like a dream, clips, ties, stands for the farrier, and is flourishing on a forage based diet. She currently requires no maintenance or daily supplements to be comfortable and happy.
She competed successfully in Dressage at Retired Racehorse Project 2023 with her youth rider.
