New Volunteer Orientation & Training Day

Hope for Horses is seeking volunteers for our program. We are 100% volunteer run at our facility, so the role of our volunteers is essential to helping horses and running our organization!

What can you expect as a Hope for Horse volunteer?

✨ Learning safe horsemanship skills

✨ Making sure our horses are comfy and safe with clean stalls

✨ Making sure drinking water is clean and refreshing

✨ Clean tack and equipment

✨ Feeding and turnout

✨ Spend time with our horses needing grooming, grazing, and rehab

✨ Opportunities for advanced learning through clinics and lessons

The ultimate goal of your time here is that you have a solid base of safe horsemanship skills! Many volunteers are starting from ground zero, and we want to be able to give you the skills to eventually adopt your own horse (if that's what you'd like to do).

You also do not have to work with horses. We need plenty of folks to help with events, fundraising, and more!

As much as we like to help horses, we also like to create a fun and welcoming environment with opportunities for team building, community, and connection.

Not sure if volunteering is right for you? Orientation is the perfect place to learn more and decide if it's something you'd like to do (or not, that's fine, too!).

Please wear long pants and close-toed shoes.

You must sign a waiver once you arrive at the barn!

Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. No exceptions!

ORIENTATION ~ NEW Volunteers ~ 3:30pm to 5:00 pm
